Changing the name of your monitored points can be done from the dashboard. Once logged in, click on your name in the top right corner and select ‘Attributes’ from the dropdown menu.
The ‘Attributes’ page displays general information about your organisation, site and monitored points. You must click on your organisation, site and monitored points on the left hand side to update the information displayed on the main window.
Follow the steps below to update the name of your monitored points. The process is illustrated with the “Mountain View Data Center” site where the point named “Basement” is changed to “First Floor”.
- The first step is to select the point you are interested in in the menu tree (e.g. Basement under Mountain View Data Center). Current data point information is displayed.
- Click on the double pencil symbol at the top right to edit the name.
- Enter the new name in the ‘Name’ field (e.g. First Floor).
- Click on the ‘Update’ button to save the new name.
As soon as the page is refreshed, the new name will appear within the menu tree.
The same procedure should be followed to change your organisation and site details.
